It’s not too early for Christmas shoppingPosted by: Roy in review, tags: Christmas shopping, wish listIt’s now November, a month before Christmas, and people are continuing with their countdown of the days until it comes. There is enough time to buy your gifts for the ones you love. Don’t think that there’s plenty, because before you realized it, Christmas will be here soon, and there will lots of people in the malls and gift shops.

Thoughts on Pacquiao fightsPosted by: Roy in Global Filipino, In the news, Personal, Reflections, TV, blog, celebrities, icon, internet, thought & opinions, tags: boxing, filipino, Manny Pacquiao, Miguel Cotto, philippines, pinoy, pound-for-pound kingTomorrow is another big day in Philippine sports. Because tomorrow is the much awaited fight between Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas. The Philippine pride and pound-for-pound king, Pacquiao will go up against his latest challenger, the Puerto Rican powerhouse Cotto. To be honest, I don’t really watch boxing… at least not until the day I started blogging. Never in my entire life have I paid attention to boxing. But since I started blogging I began to be conscious of not only boxing, but other things that are happening today – even things that don’t even concern me. And with less than 24 hours before the Pacquiao-Cotto fight, I’d like to share my thoughts, not only on this particular fight, but on every fight that Pacquiao has.

“I really don’t mind you smoking… but please, don’t exhale”Posted by: Roy in Personal, Reflections, blog, reactions, thought & opinions, tags: clean air, healthy lungs, jeepneys, no exhaling, No Smoking, public spaces, quit smoking, quitter, transport
Darn! And I even have to ask apologies, when smokers… or at least most of them, don’t even care how bad second hand smoke can affect you. Sure, everybody has a right to burn their own lungs, but others have a right to breathe clean air too. But the way it’s happening now, smokers seem to impose their rights more than non-smokers do. Of course, there are considerate smokers too, like my friend Jan (who I hope is now a successful quitter), who walks away whenever that lighted stick beacons, even if it’s just Chuchi who would keep him company.
