The immortal animalPosted by: Roy in Announcement, blog, internet, reactions, tags: immortal animal, jellyfish, marine life, regeneration, science, transdifferentiation, turriptopsis nutricula, yahoo
Can an animal be really immortal? This news from Yahoo! pages say so. The turriptopsis nutricula species of jellyfish is believed to be the only animal in the world who has the ability to live forever. The news said this particular specie of jellyfish is “capable of cycling from a mature adult stage to an immature polyp stage and back again” and therefore it may have no natural limit to its life span. Wow! Imagine getting young and old again… at will. You can go back to any age you want to! But then again, we humans are not really capable of it.
