Hi Martin!

thanks for the tips and the link, appreciate it! I've been hearing about problogget.net for quite a while now, I don't know why I haven't visited it yet... (too busy dropping cards? :) ) anyway, will try to visit it soon (promise)

I know I still have a long way to go and have a lot a learn... (linking articles, back link, etc). the 5-8 posts I mentioned doesn't even refer to this blog alone, but also my other blogs (cheating eh?) because, as you've said it's really isn't the quantity but the quality of posts that matters.

thanks again!

Hi Roy, reading other blogs and learning will save you a lot of time reinventing the wheel. http://ProBlogger.net is probably the #1 blog you should be reading (if you aren't already)... it's one of the most popular on the Internet and focuses entirely on earning money from blogs.

If I could make one suggestion - instead of posting articles here in full that you find somewhere else, why not share your own views and opinions on those pieces?

From an SEO point of view, posting full articles that have already been published won't help you much (google filters out duplicate content), but if instead you link to those articles, talk about what makes them good, or what makes them bad, why you agree/don't agree with parts of it etc. then not only do you create your own original content, but you also add to the conversation. The original blogger might take an interest in what you have to say about their post and come and comment on yours. Some of their readers already discussing those points may come over and discuss it here too... there's a much bigger upside to adding to the conversation rather than just reposting it.

5-8 posts a week isn't too much, many of the top blogs post 2-3 times a day (or more... do you read TechCrunch, or EnGadget etc?), a lot of those have multiple writers dedicated full-time to it which helps. The key is to have something worth saying... 5-8 posts a week is too much if all you say is crap, however if what you're saying needs to be said, then there's plenty of evidence out there to suggest that the amount you post is largely irrelevant to success.
