Photobucket be inspired now HOPE REFLECTIONS STIK Photobucket Photobucket

I thought that I can brush it off. Unfortunately I have to read it again… and then again… and then some more. I’m talking about bloggers who look down on fellow bloggers. I read it on forums, some even blog about it.

Does being in a free-hosted blog makes me less of a blogger? Are self-hosted blogger better bloggers? Maybe they meant well, saying that it is a must that a blogger must have his own domain, a self-hosted blog, even if he is just starting to blog. Because, as they continues, a free-hosted blog gives an impression that it contains crap. And this coming from a supposed to be respectable blogger.

I, for one have seen free-hosted blogs who contains useful information, a far cry from the crap being referred to by the above-mentioned self-hosted blogger. And have seen too, self-hosted blogs who contains crap, if not altogether trash. Yet, I do not bash on them.

Maybe they are spending on their blogs and we don’t. Maybe they earn better and we don’t. Still, that doesn’t give them the right to look down on us.

Someday, when I can pay for my own domain, including it’s maintenance, I hope to have a self-hosted blog. But if and when that happens, I will not look down on fellow bloggers - even if they are on a self-hosted blog!

Some day I also love to have my own domain, but still will not look down to my fellow bloggers. Starting with a free one is always preferrable for newbies.

I understand what you feel though I have an entirely different experience.

I remember when I just started 3 months ago, I emailed a blog author requesting for a link exchange. I would have understood him for not replying to my message but was I shocked that the following day he made a post titled something like “Why Would I Exchange Links With You”. It cited his reasons for linking and not linking.

I maybe overly sensitive but… Ouch! That hurt. It’s good to know that at present, my blog has a higher Alexa ranking than his blog.

    Wow! Talk about being snobbish!

Sometimes, these demi-gods of blogging let their stature really get into their head. When I see one, I avoid him like the plague.

    Thanks for dropping by!

Ouch, my site is free hosted and I feel your pain Sir! Anyway, don’t you ever think that we are less of a blogger than they are. Just always remember this: “It’s the content of the blog that matters!” Keep up the good work Sir! =)
