Update on Mr. Arpee’s post:

Update: Mr. Perlas has apologized through an email. Though he has expressed his desire to apologize in person, I have declined because my schedule has not been so forgiving. I have also informed him that we both need to put closure to this matter which has generated too much blogger buzz. In his email, Mr. Perlas did admit to being brash and has apologized. I have accepted it to finally close this chapter.
I believe it was better for us to say our goodbyes as civilized professionals. Life is short and we cannot afford to hate.
To my blogger friends and acquaintances, truly you have shown how solid we are as a community. Let us continue to support each other and work towards the good of the collective.
Mr. Perlas, again I reiterate, apology is accepted.

This one should be more appropriately titled “Don’t mess with a blogger!” because by now, words are already circulating around the blogosphere about how a rude PR man in the name of Jayce Perlas treated a blogger badly.

Arpee of Gadgets Galore went to a certain product launching and as he was about to register, he was met by this Perlas and asked him about his business there. And what followed was humiliation on the part of our fellow blogger, as this PR guy simply don’t give a damn about whatever Arpee said.

Perlas was working with Perlas and Luna, the event company who is handling the product launching. I don’t know if he is a part owner of the company, but by now, there are lots of blog posts about his improper conduct which would definitely affect the future bookings of this company.

Don’t know Arpee really, and I haven’t been to his blog before. Just saw the post of TechAtHand.Net and followed the link.

I’ve never been to any event representing myself as a blogger, but I certainly don’t want to be treated like what Arpee experienced if I do.

Just spreading the word.

I remember when I was still in school, attending to those required military trainings to be able to graduate. Honestly, I did not like attending to those trainings, but like I said, they were required or else I won’t graduate.

But even though I really didn’t like doing those drills under the scorching heat of the sun in our school oval, I do like wearing those military uniforms. It makes me feel like a toughie so to speak. And what I like best is when me and my classmates go out wearing the Type C get-up (military shoes, pants, and white shirt). I’m pretty sure, we made an impression then.

Now that I’m no longer in school, I surely miss those days. I miss wearing the military uniforms, specially the Type C. No, thanks. No offense, but I have no plans of entering the army just to wear the uniform. I have found a better way.

I just found a site where I can get cool Tactical Pants and even have them delivered to my doorstep. And that is courtesy of TacticalPantsUSA.com, the company that sells lots of tactical stuffs and other military items. Once you placed your orders, expect to receive your merchandise within 24 hours.

Yes, I know, these are military clothing and stuffs. What’s wrong with getting a tactical pants? I’m not buying a whole military uniform (Although they are available at the site too). I just want to wear a Type C uniform as I recall all those memories during our school days.

Although I must admit, when I visited the TacticalPantsUSA.com site, I am tempted to get some other stuff too. I bet I would look cool in the Tactical Hawk Glasses and Tactical Sabre Jacket, and the Tactical Knives would make the get-up complete.

Okay, okay… I’ll try to restrain myself… but I really cannot promise.

I’m sure you’ve seen your Google homepage, in Filipino language, that’s not what I’m referring to.

I’m referring to the newly launched translation tool of Google, where you can translate an entire webpage to and from Filipino.

How is this a good news? Because, for one, those who are doing some research and may have some problem with other languages (yes, it’s not just English), Google will translate it for them in Filipino. In fact, you can search for a subject in Filipino, and it will search all other languages too, and brings back the result already translated in Filipino. Cool!

And if your blog is in Filipino, others can now read it too because Google will translate it to their language. Hooray! More readers for you!

Actually, I haven’t tried it yet. I just heard the buzz and I’m so excited to blog about it. I will give it a try immediately to see how it work.

If you are interested to try the tool too, click it here: Google translates in Filipino.

I wonder if it can translate in Kapampangan too?

I was too busy finding a web hosting provider for my next blog that I forgot one very important thing - web design. It doesn’t take an IT genius to know that web design matters. Marketing-wise, the design of the website can make or break the site or the blog.

Sure, there are lots of templates available out there, for free even. One disadvantage with these templates is that, chances are, somebody else is also using them. You could be surprised to visit a blog and feel like you are on your own blog. Why? Because you have exactly the same web design. Well, so much branding.

In my quest to have my own domain, surely I would like a unique web design. One that I can call my own and somehow create a brand for me. I came across Heritage Web Solutions, a web design company who’s been ranked in the top 1% by web hosting companies.

Their service isn’t limited in just providing ready-made templates that almost everybody has. If you are serious in having your own website, you might as well have your OWN personal design. One that can identify you, your products, or your blog’s niche.

Of course aside from appearance, there also other factors that should be considered such as site navigation, action prompts wherein visitors can contact you to buy or inquire something. And when the website is running, then there’s the problem of promotion - how to drive customers to your site, how to get listed, and more.

These are all provided by Heritage Website Design, your website design solution. Call them at 866-211-0743 to discuss all the details that you want on your design, and soon you can have your own website design that you can call your own.

If you are serious about having a website, then take full attention to your website design.

I was listening to our local FM radio station last Friday, GV FM 99.1 I was unmindful of the DJ blabbering away his spiels and antics on the air. I was just conscious of the music being played. It was my son who actually turned on the radio, and didn’t turn it off when they left for school.

As I was saying, the radio keeps on playing. However, unmindful as I was to the DJ, my attention was caught by a certain word that the DJ said - ‘Fillies‘, Fillies? What in the world is he talking about?! Then, he repeated the word. I was not hearing things, he did say fillies!

And you know what is he referring to with that word? You wouldn’t believe it.
