This will be my first post of this nature. Maybe there could be more, as I began to realize that perhaps I can use the power of blogs to help in my own little way. Honestly, I really don’t have that much to offer, and at this point this is the best I can do. I just hope it amounts to something.

I just read it in Philippine Star today, that all it only needs P50,000 each to save the lives of two patients.

Those amount need not come from one person, if many would contribute even just a small amount, perhaps the amount would be raised in no time.

Americans did it to help Obama win, is it not possible for Filipinos to do it to help save lives?

Arvie Nery, 12 who resides in Paranaque city and Warren Abuda, a three-year old baby who lives in a squatter area in Penafrancia, Antipolo City. Arvie was born with a hole in his heart called ventricular septal defect (VSD), while Baby Warren is also suffering from a similar congenital hole in the hearth called atrioventricular septal defect (AVSD).

To help Arvie or Baby Warren raise the much needed funds for their operation, you can send your donation to: Operation Damayan Philippine Star, Metro Bank Port Area Branch, Account Number 15130-4161-6229; Swift Code MBT CPH MM. Or you may contact The Star’s Melita Dioso at telephone number 527-7777.

I too, was once in wanting. Having a wife who went on dialysis sessions for four years before finally giving up on her battle, I knew how it feels to see a love one suffer as I just watched thinking where to get the money to help sustain her life. I know how it feels to beg.
