PR man don’t know a thing about public relations
Posted by: Roy in Announcement, blog, internet, links, reactions, thought & opinions, tags: bastos, black perlas, blog fury, maltreatment, perlas, rude PR manUpdate: Mr. Perlas has apologized through an email. Though he has expressed his desire to apologize in person, I have declined because my schedule has not been so forgiving. I have also informed him that we both need to put closure to this matter which has generated too much blogger buzz. In his email, Mr. Perlas did admit to being brash and has apologized. I have accepted it to finally close this chapter.
I believe it was better for us to say our goodbyes as civilized professionals. Life is short and we cannot afford to hate.
To my blogger friends and acquaintances, truly you have shown how solid we are as a community. Let us continue to support each other and work towards the good of the collective.
Mr. Perlas, again I reiterate, apology is accepted.
This one should be more appropriately titled “Don’t mess with a blogger!” because by now, words are already circulating around the blogosphere about how a rude PR man in the name of Jayce Perlas treated a blogger badly.
Arpee of Gadgets Galore went to a certain product launching and as he was about to register, he was met by this Perlas and asked him about his business there. And what followed was humiliation on the part of our fellow blogger, as this PR guy simply don’t give a damn about whatever Arpee said.
Perlas was working with Perlas and Luna, the event company who is handling the product launching. I don’t know if he is a part owner of the company, but by now, there are lots of blog posts about his improper conduct which would definitely affect the future bookings of this company.
Don’t know Arpee really, and I haven’t been to his blog before. Just saw the post of TechAtHand.Net and followed the link.
I’ve never been to any event representing myself as a blogger, but I certainly don’t want to be treated like what Arpee experienced if I do.
Just spreading the word.

This is very interesting and intriguing.
Thanks for blogging about this. I honestly believe that there are still a lot of people who don’t know blogging is so they have no idea how to treat bloggers.
Just the same, it was a very wrongful thing to treat anybody like that.
Oh what a rude PR he didn’t deserve that position.
@PinoyCopywriter
You are right, there still lots of people who don’t know what is a blogger and what is a blog. But just the same, it’s really not right to treat a person like that, blogger or not.
@johnlazy
indeed, very inconsistent of his function.
thanks for dropping by

a blogger’s bad experience attending an event…
Every people either blogger or media Men should be respected in an occasion like that.
BTW thanks for the link.. and let spread the news
no problem… i sure hope the word gets out
Arpee is a very good man, blogger. I don’t know why such thing Perlas treated him like that. They belong in old generation where internet and blogging do not exist.
They treated the wrong person, they don’t know how viral is blogging when it comes to news which involves a blogger. Poor them. Is that what you call PR companies? LOL. LOL. LOL to themselves.
Anyways Kuya Roy, I haven’t received your email hehe, Or prolly it was in my spam folder because yahoo is stupid now. Even relevant emails are shooting inside the spam. Aww.
Kaya pala wala pa akong natatanggap na message from you, hehe…
oo nga, madami pa rin ang jurassic hangga ngayon, hehe… pero sabi nga, it doesn’t take a tech geek to know how to treat a person
please read updated posts above, as updated by Arpee in his blog.
I think the problem here is the guy’s attitude towards other human beings. Nagkataon lang blogger yung binastos nya. But regardless of a person’s status or job description, nobody has the right to discriminate or unfairly treat anyone. Just a basic rule in human relationship.
Obviously something that the guy doesn’t have.
I guess by now he knows better. He already apologized to Arpee
Yes i agree, bloggista is right. Sapol na sapol. Basic courtesy lang yan.
And at least now another history for Filipino blogger had happen
