Fatherlyours and Webpinas
Posted by: Roy in Announcement, bloggers connection, internet, links, public service, reactions, thought & opinions, tags: bloggers connection, fatherlyours, mon, poor service, web host provider, webpinasThis is a special edition of Bloggers Connection, because not only am I featuring Fatherlyours by Mon, but I’m also including his web host provider Webpinas.com in the post. I guess if I am indeed an emerging influential blogger, I better make good use of it… if I really do have that influence.
Okay let’s proceed.
First, the web hosting service provider – Webpinas.com, quite frankly, I never heard of them until Mon told me about his problem. Yes, he has a problem with them!
He can’t access his blog Fatherlyours.com since the start of May. He tried to check their website and it is down too. Mon tried calling their numbers on the phone but he can’t reach them, and they are not answering his text messages too.
WHAT HAPPENED TO WEBPINAS?! Mon did everything to reach them, unfortunately it seems they don’t want to be reached. This experience is not that of Mon alone, as another client have replied to Mon’s blog post in his blogger account which he is using temporarily.
Mon and his blog Fatherlyours could have been one of my Top 10 emerging blogs, but with his blog being inaccessible, would any nomination do him good?
So if anyone who knows what happened to Webpinas, if they still exist or what, PLEASE help us know how Mon can get his blog back. He can’t even access his dashboard or control panel.
To Webpinas: This blog is open for you to air your side. Your clients deserve to know what happened to your company. You owe them an explanation, BIG TIME!
Why am I vent on helping Mon getting his blog back? Aside from being a friend, his blog speaks of the events in his daily life, most of which include his bonding time with his family. From one father to father, I do appreciate reading stories of a happy family spending quality time together… that is what you have missed if you haven’t seen his blog yet.
Yes, he tackles current events too, as well trivias like the rest of us bloggers do. But it’s his stories with his family that I want to see more. Reason enough for me to include him in my top 10, so others may get to know his blog too.
I really hope that he gets his blog back, so I can finalize my list of nominees for the top 10 emerging influential blogs in time.
Once again, I’m making this appeal, to anyone… to everyone… if you know of a way how he can get to webpinas and get his blog back, along with other clients the web hosting company… please give us a shout out. It will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
This is Bloggers Connection, featuring Fatherlyours… and his missing-in-action web host provider.

Yeah, I used to visit Ramon’s blog, Roy. And I like him, too. I’m considering him as well in my list.
Perhaps we should mount a campaign in Twitter regarding this. This is so unfair to Mon. Do you have friends who use Plurk? I don’t have a Plurk account. With both Twitter and Plurk I think we can help a fellow blogger get back online the soonest possible time.
Or writing blog post about his problem. Like you did. That’s a very great you did, Roy. I salute you on this.
Are you friends with Jhez? Maybe he can held us with this?

I have a plurk account, but I don’t have any contacts there
I think webpinas is a scam site, kaya hindi nyo na ma contact ang owner ng site by any means.
Kaya ang only way dito ay database backup nalang, pati yung domain. Kung sa godaddy naka reg yung domain or ibang registrar, I can help you host the site.
I have lots of vacant space in my web host and I can give mon a free unlimited space if he wants.
This is odd, fatherlyyours had commented on my blog just this may. Maybe they are using his blog?
@jehzlau
@Earthlingorgeous
nabasa ko comment niya, dun yata sa nuffnang post mo di ba. he was still fatherlyours then, kaya lang medyo matagal na masyado, kaya I’m seeking help to those in the know. sayang ang blog niya, nominee ko pa naman sana siya.
I am deeply saddened too with what happened to Fatherlyours website and what went wrong with WebPinas. My site is webhosted by a Philippine webhosting too so sana mahabaging Diyos huwag naman mangyari sa akin ito…Iiyak talaga ako…
Anyway, to the WebPinas owner…If you have a heart, mag-reply ka naman. Sir WebPinas, if you plan to let go of this business please finish the transaction with dignity and pride.
nakakalungkot nga Snow, nakaka-miss din post in Fatherlyours, especially his bonding time with his family.
Hello Roy,
Hindi ba puede na access ang files from google and then start a new webhosting/blog? The owner of Webpinas will surely get what is due him, in time -that’s the rule of Karma.
I hope things get better for Mon and Fatherly yours.
I don’t know about the Google way, pero sabi ni Mon hindi rin niya ma-access ang c-panel niya e.
This is such a big loss. Kaya pala biglang nawala yung fatherlyours ganito pala nangyari. Sayang talaga, Fatherlyours is one of my Top 10, pero nung vinisit ku site nya waaa wala. And to take note, he’s from Marikina possibleng kakilala ko to kung malalaman ko Whole name nya madali kasing magreport ng anomalya dito sa Marikina
@JoanJoyce
@Ada
sinong taga-Marikina? Webpinas? sana nga mareport.
Paging Sir Mon: alam mo ba full name ng may-ari ng webpinas?
That’s sad. Tapos WebPinas pa may hawak sa domain nya. That rieallly is a problem. Sana ayusin nga webpinas.
Hi Luke!
oo nga, sayang talaga. pati domain name hindi niya makuha.
I really hope something would come out of this post.
I don’t know what to contribute other than to give my support in retwitting about the problem and hopefully they find this post and leave comments.

i’m also a webhost myself… thats a shame. they should face their client. i know it will be hard for them.
i suggest check google/yahoo/msn search engine cache to recover some of the content.
i’m willing to host http://www.fatherlyours.com for free 1year.
i highly recommend… always have local backups. even big hosting company backup system is not reliable. sa wordpress meron backup plugins.
his full name is Kenneth Estanislao. I am also a victim. my Warmstone site (my blog from 2005) was hosted by Webpinas for a year. when May comes in, my site cannot be accessed anymore. i tried to contact him with his cel number and his wife’s cel number. i also tried sending an offline message to her YM. i tried calling a landline i found via the internet and discovered it was his parents who had promised me that they will tell their son about contacting me. To no avail.
that was during the first week of May.
i think he is a web host reseller. i really don’t know what happened. the bad part is like the owner of Fatherly Yours, i was not able to have a local backup. it was actually hanging in my head because last April Kenneth and me exchanged text mssgs pa. i also him that time why i cannot access webpinas and he answered like ‘i have big plans for webpinas he he’. i became complacent with the reply and never thought he will just leave me (or us) hanging. now i realized the ‘he he’ at the end of the reply means something bad.
it was so unprofessional of him. i just needed an explanation and if it’s possible to retrieve my seemingly lost files. but he did not care or bother man lang to answer. he has a responsibility at dapat siyang humarap.
Thank you very much for that information Bing
it was also may that you can no longer access your blog?
and he still get others to believe him. I hope he face his responsibilities
thank you very much for the info, we really appreciate it
Roy -Thank you for posting my web host problem. In fairness, Kenneth is a good man naman talaga until this thing happen. I just want to get the back up of my files. My latest back up was December. I never though things like this happened.
Jehzlau and Jun - Thank you so much for the offer. Yaan niyo at kapag wala akong mapuntahan, kakatok ako sa inyo.Thanks for the tip too.
all - Thank you so much for your concern. I just hope that this incident could serve us a lesson about the importance of backing up of our files.
bing - hopefully we got help how to re-construct our site.
Roy - http://twitter.com/hacksider twitter account of Kenneth
oh, thats why hindi nag-uupdate ang site nya. favorite ko pa naman siya. nasa front page ko nga yung link nya. he would be my choice also as one of the most influential bloggers. ang sama naman ng webhost nyan.
i like mon’s blog…unfortunately i can’t comment on his blog for so so so many many many times!!! i thought he has this cloistered blog, or exclusive gang of bloggers with him…
has he answered you yet?
Victim din ako. Last May 2 pa down.

Or baka eto naman yung office niya:

Yes taga Marikina siya.
Hi Roy,
I just read the comment you left on my blog. Sorry for the late reply as I was very busy the past few days. Any updates on this? I’m sorry to hear about this and I hope that Mon gets his blog back. I too have never heard of WebPinas before this incident.
For bloggers and other webmasters, we need to make it a point to do regular backups both online and offline. There are WordPress plugins that help you do this easily and automatically.
Another thing is the issue of having both domain and web hosting from the same company. Its better and safer to have your domain name registered with a large and reputable company maybe like GoDaddy and have your hosting somewhere else. So in case something happens to your hosting, you can move your blog anytime given that you have a backup of your files and database.
Thanks for sharing about this Roy. Hope to see Fatherlyours back soon again.
wow! that’s a complete total bummer!!!
@RC
it’s best siguro if you meet together (Sir Mon, Bing, you and the rest) to discuss on what you can do. Ada said you can report this in Marikina since taga-doon siya.
Update us of any developments.
@Jaypee
Thanks for coming here. At least now we have to word out about Webpinas. We’re not really trying to crucify him, we’re in fact giving him a chance to clear his name.
that advice son separate domain name and webhosting company makes sense. buti na lang ganun ang sa akin.
@Reynz
No reply yet. Tama nga nga mga turo nila. Ngayun alam na namin. Huhuhu! Bahala na si Lord sa kanyan.
ganun ba Sir Mon, matagal-tagal na rin pala. malamang may pag-asa pang mabawi natin.
sana naman magparamdam na si kenneth a.k.a. webpinas a.k.a. hacksider
i stumbled into Mon’s ‘fatherly yours’ blog many many months ago. halos kasabay yata sila ni fatherblogger. but i haven’t visited again. he said during iblog5 that his site was down.
too bad he wasn’t able to back up his posts. sayang din yun. maybe those who subscribed to his blog can at least give him pieces to reconstruct his site.
that’s a great idea Novz!
I’ll post that idea on my update.
thanks!
ah kaya pala nung isang araw nung binalikan ko si kuya mon, eh naka 5 refresh ako.. akala ko may topak computer ko.. yun pala dahil jan sa WEBPINAS na yan.. naku.. panu yan.. yan ang hirap kung walang back up– hai nalulungkot ako..
