When we moved here in our place last year, I was not really conscious. Home Security was the last thing in my mind. Mainly because in previous places where we lived, we can literally sleep with the doors wide open. That’s how trusting I was before. I thought it would always be that way.
But I was wrong. Dead wrong.
On our first few days, I leave our laundry clothes hanging in the garage, so that they could at least dry up overnight. An incident happened that made me give Home Security Systems a serious thought - we woke up one morning with some of our clothes missing.
You read that right… some, not all. It seems that the thief who broke in even had the guts to choose the clothes he’ll take. He took only those clothes that we wear when we go out, clothes we wear at home were left out. Imagine that?!
The place where we stay now have barangay tanods roaming around at night to watch any illegal activities. I should know, they collect barangay fees. Unfortunately, we can’t rely on them, can we? One solution I have in mind is getting a Home Security Surveillance System to help us keep watch on who are walking around the premises.
Honestly, I can’t afford it right now yet. But I’m working my butt off so I could get one for the house. I don’t think it’s an overkill. We were lucky the first time because they didn’t brake inside the house… but I just don’t want to rely on luck. I better make sure.
If only we can live in a safe and secure society where no one is wanting….
