Can you just win anything from out of the blue? Well, I just did!

Imagine that!

Just like an answered prayer! I won P300,000 with a Nissan Navara to boot! How lucky can I get?!

But the thing is, it wasn’t true. It was just another text scam!

Here’s complete text message I received.

Congratulations! ur CELL#. have WON.3OOTH,W/NISSAN NAVARA. Last,Aug.24,2009 Frm PHIL COMM CNTR. For More Info? Pls CALL Mr. Ruel F.Gozon NCR Prmt#.0292 s2009

And the mobile number that sent the said message was +639157960368.

Hell! I wasn’t born yesterday!

But it really irks me just to think how some people would even have the heart to scam people just to get some money.

I haven’t joined any contest, so how could have I won? I hope these people would be put behind bars.

At the height of typhoon Ondoy, I also received a similar which reads:

PCSO Main office Quezon City giving u a chance 3 win swertres # 561 tyaan ng 200p @ Iramboli2 ng 200p Call 2 confirm Txt is not allowed Frm: Mr.Ariel de Ocampo

This one came from +639269012289

I don’t know if these numbers are still active now nor if these are the real names of these people. But I’m sharing these information to warn everyone should you receive a similar text.

I know many are already familiar with this modus operandi, but there are still a few people who fall to this type of trickery.
