A lost is a lost, no matter what you do, there’s no way to bring back what was gone… or who was gone. You have the right to stop and wallow in the misery of the lost… but only for a while.

The truth is, you can cry, you can stop living, go into seclusion, isolate yourself from the rest of the world… but while you’re doing that, the world won’t stop. It wouldn’t even slow down and wait for you to recover…

life goes on

I learned that on a previous lost. Sure, there were sympathies, kind words and all. Everyone would feel for you because they understand what you’re going through.

But don’t rest on that.

Sympathies are good, at least it would make you feel that you are not alone. However, it should not trigger your ‘self-pity button’ but rather it should give you the strength to move on, knowing that you are not alone… you are never alone.

Sometimes, things don’t always go our way, such is life. A lost is lost, there is really nothing that we can do to bring back was gone… all those ‘what ifs’ and ‘if only’ will just prolong the agony.

Moving on is not just an option… it’s a must!

…because life goes on. It won’t wait for you.

P.S. Thanks to all my friends who sent their condolences and sympathy. Don’t worry, everything’s just fine.

    You’d be all right. Grieve if you must. It’s all right. Life is still fair. Might be an unending vale of disappointments for some, but hey, truth is nobody gets out alive ultimately. That at least is fair, eh?… Jesus, what have I just said! Well, anyway, I’m just saying I wish I can be there for you at this hour, depleting your supply of good coffee. :)

    Condolence Kuya Roy.

    Yes, life goes on…ganun lang talaga, una una lang.

    May namatay din dito sa kapitbahay namin, sa tapat lang ng house. It was so sudden, brain stroke. He wasn’t able to survive, few hours later he passed away na. Made me realize, life is really too short.

    In a way, it is a good thing life marches on. Imagine if the world did stop for each hurt? The entire earth would be a slow and painful place with no healing, no fresh hope in sight…only a succession of hurts.

    Thanks Amor. Yes indeed, ganun kadali ang buhay. That’s why we should really cherish every second that we are alive.

    @Sahara

    That’s a nice thought… a sad one, but a nice realization. We would all be moving slowly and pain if the world would stop and wait for every grieving soul.

    Thanks
