Up and down… way down!

The pride and honor that was brought to the Philippines by Manny Pacquiao’s victory against Miguel Cotto, and Efren Peñaflorida’s being recognized as CNN’s Hero of the Year 2009 has put the country on top of the world - on a good note!
But this jubilation did not take long as the Maguindanao massacre has turned what was supposed to be a sweet taste of victory for the country into a sour… nay, a bitter one… a very bitter one.
We all know the details, the gory details. It’s incomprehensible. Why it even have to happen.
This blogger joins the whole nation in its cry for justice for the inhuman acts committed.

You can say that again and again. It’s beyond comprehension. We hardly know these people but just the same the horror of it all is beyond description. Know what? I’ve been to Bonnie’s blog and he wrote how he lost a friend. His friend was one of those who were murdered. And for once there wasn’t much I could say by way of comment.
