The Struggling Blogger

Yes. The picture that you see is the Sala Set that I have tweeted just a few days ago (that is if you follow me on Twitter).

While most bloggers would pose with their new laptops, cell phone and other techie gadgets, I opted to put a picture of a sala set.

This, my friends, is my FIRST tangible proof of HARD blogging labor. Nothing against gadgets and all, would love to have those too. Maybe it’s just a matter of priorities. At least now, our house looks like a home.

Don’t bother looking for nos. 1 to 7, there aren’t any.

Obviously, by the title alone, you know what kind of post this is – a blog filler. One that you post when you don’t have anything to post.

It’s like doing something, when you don’t know what to do… just to let time pass at least.

You’ve heard of writer’s block. This one isn’t about that.

A blog filler isn’t always borne out of the writer’s inability to come up with something worth reading… I have lots of ideas popping out of my head right now, quite frankly.

But I choose not to do them now… just because I don’t want to.

“You have a blog breath!”
I don’t know if that is a good thing or not, but with 13 blogs and growing, that is not really an inaccurate statement.

No. Nobody said those words to me, I just have this nasty habit of talking to myself. Who else do I have here with me to talk to?

I tried talking to the PC before, but I stopped. Why? Because I felt it was starting to answer back.

Don’t worry, I’m still sane. At least I think so. I still have frequent lucid intervals, with short distances in-between even. So, I’m still good for discussions. Try me.

Anyway, in one of those sessions, the inner voice told me those words – “You have a blog breath!”

I write blogs… I read blogs… I talk blogs… I think blogs…. I breathe blogs! Maybe, I do have a blog breath!

I was not really planning to have any post today for Father’s Day, since I already made a sort-of-father’s-day post in my Reflections.

But as I was reading today’s newspaper and saw the column of Francis Kong (my favorite), I was struck by the article he wrote (as always), especially about the one he got from the internet. And I said to myself “this is worth sharing!”

Last June 12, we celebrated our Independence Day. Our 111th year of being free, and we owe that to all our heroes of the past.

But do you know that we also have our heroes of today? Unsung and unnoticed… heroes we should be proud of.

We should be proud of our heroes
Heroes who are willing to stay up late at night, while we are asleep, making sure that the effort to pass the law that will change our country’s constitution would go uncontested
