No matter how hard I try, I can’t help but commit them. Even if i reviewed my post a hundred times, something always passes me. A misplaced article or a preposition - a ‘to’ where a ‘from’ should be, an ‘on’ where an ‘in’ is more fitting.
Sometimes, I go back to my previous posts and just laugh at myself. What’s a ‘d’ doing in my sentence when I was not referring to a past event… oh, bloopers, blooper, blooper… bloopers everywhere. No wonder, proofreaders are so valuable.
I am conscious of my grammar, spelling and everything. Yet, I still can’t understand why I wrote ‘live’ and I was meaning to write ‘leave’?… oops! there’s that quotation-punctuation combination again. Will I ever get them right?
Well I do hope, whatever blunder I do commit would be forgivable. I will try to review every work, perhaps go back to my posts way back when. I’m sure I still can find some in them. In the meantime, grammar blunders or not. I hope I still get my messages across.

Hillary Clinton’s pledge of support for Barack Obama drew a lot of reactions from people around the globe, not only to the American populace. Her call for unity among Democrats to rally behind Obama’s bid for presidency finally shelved her own presidential bid for good. Such is an unselfish act. Although not really an American, nor am I in the land of the free, I can’t help but contemplate on these developments and imagine it happening in the Philippine soil.

As talks between the government and the MILF were ongoing, the treacherous groups killed 26 people in Lanao del Norte. This coming from a group who refused to call themselves as terrorist? I wonder why do the government even trust them. They are not really after any truce, peace, negotiotiation or any agreement at all. Give them a hand and they will take the whole arm.
This is nothing new in the Philippines, as there were efforts in the past by the government to meet rebels halfway, all for the sake of peace. And while peace talks negotiations were ongoing, a small group which would later be branded as breakaway group would be crawling and wreck havoc, killing innocent civilians, to the surprise of the government.
This has always been the case, and like I said they will later be denied as part of them or tag them as breakaway group and not really their responsibility. Why do we allow them to play their games on us?
Time and again, events like these have proven that these people cannot be really trusted. These are not rebels, because rebels has a cause, a purpose, a mission. Senseless killings of civilians are not the act of a rebel, it is the act of mindless criminals whose sole purpose of existence is to create hell on earth.
I do hope that after this recent event, the government will never be as gullible to believe to meet these criminals halfway, less there’ll be more civilian victims.

My favorite actually was Ram, in spite of the presence of the Kabalen in Jayann. But as most probably know, he was eliminated early in the proceedings of the program. Which leaves Gretchen and Jayann competing for the coveted title, and the mark of being the ‘first ever’ Pinoy Idol.
Obviously, I’m writing this blog as the program progresses and hoping to finish it once the final winner is already announced. While I can only root now for a Kabalen, it really doesn’t matter to me who wins at this point. While this ‘text votes’ thing makes the competition more interesting, it definitely defeats the purpose of a talent show.

Last Sunday, while cleaning and arranging things in our house I turn my radio on. Since we just moved in to a new house and things were (or still are) a mess, the TV external antenna isn’t set up yet. The only items that were put in place were, the bed, dresses, tables, and this computer so I can blog and surf the net (lol). So I have to rely on my old radio for a musical background while working.
