We know and expect that the internet would be explored (exploited) by politicians in the oncoming national and local elections this year. Candidates are on Facebook, Twitter, Friendster, and some even have their own blogs too, while most have a website.

But I was definitely surprised to see Manny Villar on Adsense of some blogs!

There’s nothing really wrong about it right?! Right??

Well, if the Comelec said there was no violation committed, then there’s none. If ever there was some violation, they’ll just say “I haven’t seen it yet.” (Well, then a look at it!)

So far now, I haven’t seen any other candidates yet who are on Adsense too. The perks of being “mahirap.”

Other’s (especially his detractors) may see his move as “copping out,” but personally, I believe that it is wise decision that Chiz won’t run in 2010 presidential elections.

I am not really a supporter of Senator Francis Escudero, but I do acknowledge the fact that he is popular especially with the youth. But being independent (after quitting his political party), it might not be a good idea to slug it out with the big guys who has well-oiled political machineries.

Besides, if he decided to run for the president instead, it would only divide further the (already divided) opposition (to the benefit of some).

But now that he decided not to run, it could pave the way for the unification of “really” united opposition who will rally behind a single candidate who will truly help steer the country towards genuine development.

At this point though, the senator is still mum as to which candidate he would support for the president and vice president position.

And finally, the long wait is over. The ruling party Lakas-Kampi-CMD announced their presidential bet, and they picked “Gibo” over BF. The MMDA Chairman Bayani Fernando losses his presidential bid against party newbie Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro.

As expected, BF accepted the party’s decision “gracefully,” at least during the press conference but gave no other remarks other than he is keeping his “options open.”

I recall a post I made last year where Hillary Clinton losses over then-presidential aspirant Barack Obama for the Democrat party’s nomination. But instead of going through a different route, she stayed with the party and announced support to the Obama candidacy.
