While it can be much cheaper since payment is only based on time consumption, there are definitely more disadvantages to blogging from an internet café than blogging from your own home.

The most obvious reason is privacy. While the blog is available to the general web surfing public, having someone watching over your shoulders while making your post is really irritating. This is definitely one of the top irritants of blogging from an internet café.

Another hassle of accessing your blog from an interment café is the environment, which is most of the time noisy. This is because most of the time, these internet cafes / game zones have as much gamers inside as there are web surfers (and sometimes even more). And if you have experienced trying to write amidst these gamers shouting instructions to one another as they play their games, you will know what I’m saying here.

I thought that I can brush it off. Unfortunately I have to read it again… and then again… and then some more. I’m talking about bloggers who look down on fellow bloggers. I read it on forums, some even blog about it.

Does being in a free-hosted blog makes me less of a blogger? Are self-hosted blogger better bloggers? Maybe they meant well, saying that it is a must that a blogger must have his own domain, a self-hosted blog, even if he is just starting to blog. Because, as they continues, a free-hosted blog gives an impression that it contains crap. And this coming from a supposed to be respectable blogger.

I, for one have seen free-hosted blogs who contains useful information, a far cry from the crap being referred to by the above-mentioned self-hosted blogger. And have seen too, self-hosted blogs who contains crap, if not altogether trash. Yet, I do not bash on them.

Maybe they are spending on their blogs and we don’t. Maybe they earn better and we don’t. Still, that doesn’t give them the right to look down on us.

Someday, when I can pay for my own domain, including it’s maintenance, I hope to have a self-hosted blog. But if and when that happens, I will not look down on fellow bloggers - even if they are on a self-hosted blog!

It frustrates me so much that I have to disable comments on some of my posts here as well as in my other blogs. Why? Because those stupid bots keeps on putting links and other unnecessary comments on them. With almost all blogs comments today being moderated, do they really believe that they would get published?

I really wish I could learn how to operate those spam blockers, so that I wouldn’t have to manually tag these bot comments as scam… err, spam. I just don’t understand why do they have to be such a nuisance! And they are so persistent! They surely know how to irritate a blogger.

Expecting to continue my winning streak, I am again joining another contest, this time sponsored by a fellow EntreCard member. The contest is aptly titled The Affiliate Secret Mega Contest # 1 by The Affiliate Secret, because it has lots of prizes at stake: 1,000 EC credits, 1 month free advertising, a free website review and an optional extra wherein one can have his banner designed by them.

This blog is my entry to the Mega Contest # 1, and what great timing that I found about this contest. The winners will be announced this Sunday, August 3, 2008. That’s just two days away, so if you are have a blog, you still have a chance to join this Mega Contest.

Good luck to all of us!

Yet again, this blog has been disapproved as an affiliate by one of those who paid bloggers for blogging about their advertisers. Too much struggles… being true to its name. Oh well, I can always try again… and look somewhere else.

But I’m blogging about it cause some reasons for rejection are quite puzzling to me.

1. Blog is too new and has poor stats, including little traffic and/or links.
I guess, three months is relatively new as far as blogging is concern. Too little traffic and links… too techie for me… got to work on that traffice though.
