Here is an old article of Mr. Francis Kong from Philippine Star. This one’s special to me because after reading it then, I emailed Mr. Kong to ask his permission to post it on my blog. To my surprise, he replied positively!

Since then, I always email him whenever I see his weekly article on Philippine Star to ask permission, and always he would reply. That’s one great characteristic of Mr. Kong - he always reply to your emails, no matter how busy he seems to be.

Here is the said article, it’s about talking to yourself.

After a long while, I am bringing back my Bloggers Connection, and I hope that this time, I can do this on a regular basis. It is after all, my own personal endeavour and contribution to make the blogosphere a better place to be in… my quest to create an enviroment where bloggers support bloggers.

And featured on today’s Bloggers Connection, I am proud to present to you Elmot!

ElmotElmot is the man behind the Ani-Mo!!! blog, where he posts his views and opinion on Philippine politics, current news and events, as well his thoughts on other blogs.

And just like most of us bloggers, his blog also contains posts of events that happened in his life, his struggles and joys, hits and misses… and I believe I saw some rants too.

GoalTaking the cue from PinoyAmbisyoso, I am also posting herewith my goals and plans for 2009. And this time, I would like to follow the rules when it comes to setting goals - REALISTIC and SPECIFIC and with that comes a TIME FRAME.

I will post here two sets of goals, first for the month of January 2009 and the second group, for the whole 2009. I may not necessarily post another set for February next month, although I may post updates from time to time.

So here are my goals and plans for January 2009

1) Compose one song - surprised this is the first one on the list? The last time I wrote a song was in 2007. Although none of my songs have ever been recorded commercially

2) Write 3 poems - I am after all a self-proclaimed poet

3) Finish one Papier Tole project - another passion of mine

4) Create, upload and develop the dot com version of The Struggling Blogger - need I say more?

5) Go back to making and selling Chocolate Lollipops and Personalized Chocolate Bars - I need to make a living somehow

Maybe it’s because of the season, that is why it’s raining Snow in the blogosphere. And when I said it’s raining Snow in the blogosphere, I really mean it’s raining Snow in the blogosphere.

Because our featured blogger in the Bloggers Connection is all over the blogosphere. I used to be surprised finding her avatar in most blogs that I stumbled upon for the first time. Even in the blog section of the leading newspapers’ website.

Snow is one blogger who loves everything upon blogging - not only about posting on her blog and sharing her thoughts and views on things and events, but she is also active visiting other blogs as well, and not just to drop her Entrecard but to share and support the blog she visits.

I used to know Snow as the Budget Shopper who frequents my blog way back when (parang ang tagal na a :) ). And now that she has her Dear Bloggery, she is even more active in the blogosphere.

I have quite a number of reasons why Jena Isle is the first featured blogger in the Bloggers Connection, aside from being my Cabalen. For one, she has been a major influence for me coming out of my blog… err, shell. She seems to have taken it upon herself to look out for new and ’shy’ bloggers and encourage them to go out, explore the blogosphere and of course, to enjoy blogging. I have met a lot of great bloggers because of her initiative.

A great motivator indeed, but Jena’s mission does not end there. She has an ongoing campaign in eradicating violence on TV for our children’s sake. She is in fact encouraging everyone to guest post in her blog should they have any articles, stories, poems or pictures that can help her cause. Please take this as an invitation and join Jena in this worthy advocacy.
