“You can’t get any bigger in this business than to fight Manny Pacquiao right now,” said Josh Clottey, who acknowledges fighting the pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao is more than just the money.

The Pacquiao-Clottey fight will be on March 13, a match that was inked following a fall-out from the negotiation with Mayweather, Jr.

Pacquiao will be putting his WBO welterweight crown against Clottey in their match which will take place at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Floyd Mayweather can keep his unbeaten record untouched. That is because Top Rank promoter Bob Arum literally said goodbye to him on Christmas Eve. Manny Pacquiao will no longer face Mayweather, and he, together with Top Rank, will even sue Mayweather and Golden Boy Promotions for maligning his character.

With the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight called off, the door is now open for every boxer who wants to take a shot at the undisputed pound-for-pound king.

Tomorrow is another big day in Philippine sports. Because tomorrow is the much awaited fight between Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas.

The Philippine pride and pound-for-pound king, Pacquiao will go up against his latest challenger, the Puerto Rican powerhouse Cotto.

To be honest, I don’t really watch boxing… at least not until the day I started blogging.

Two days left, and then the much awaited fight - Manny Pacquiao vs Ricky Hatton will happen. A fight that took a lot of twists and turns before it came to this day….

– forget that the fight almost didn’t materialize just because of the talks on the fight purse

– forget that Pacquiao showed a different color in handling his contract by giving rights to airtime to ABS-CBN… and that a confused Pacquiao took his words back gave it back to Solar Sports

– forget that many were disgusted, this blogger included, because it appears that either Pacquiao didn’t know what he is doing or he is really after the money

Forget all about that and remember that in his fight on Sunday, May 3 on Las Vegas against Hatton, Pacman is fighting for the Philippines, Pacquiao is fighting for the Filipinos all over the world.

Let us all rally behind him, Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao as he become the Best Pound for Pound fighter there is.

I wish this would all be over. I’d like to let it go… the fight is a more important point of focus.

Even if GMA 7, in every minute and every hour, rubs it on every news flash that Manny Pacquiao stayed with them… it is all over. Let’s just wait for the fight, and hope that this does not affect him… but suddenly, it’s ABS-CBN fault!

That is how it seems to be, or how he wants to put it, when Pacquiao said ABS-CBN broke its promise! What promise is that? A promise that ABS-CBN will not televised Pacquiao’s interview with them in which he say that he will rescind his contract with Solar in their favor.
