I was listening to our local FM radio station last Friday, GV FM 99.1 I was unmindful of the DJ blabbering away his spiels and antics on the air. I was just conscious of the music being played. It was my son who actually turned on the radio, and didn’t turn it off when they left for school.
As I was saying, the radio keeps on playing. However, unmindful as I was to the DJ, my attention was caught by a certain word that the DJ said - ‘Fillies‘, Fillies? What in the world is he talking about?! Then, he repeated the word. I was not hearing things, he did say fillies!
And you know what is he referring to with that word? You wouldn’t believe it.

Within a few hours, America will decide. They will choose who will be the next most powerful man in this planet, as the rest of the world waits. What is really in store for us Filipinos with this development? Does it really matter to us who will win the U.S. presidential election?
Personally, I really don’t think it does. No matter who’ll lead the most powerful country in this world, our country will still remain where it is – that of relying on the benefits it will get from America, and oftentimes regardless of the cost.When I was still a kid and Marcos was still the president, he was tagged as ‘tuta ng Kano’ (American puppy), when he was changed by Tita Cory she was also called the same. Even Erap Estrada who was a noted anti-U.S. base was called a ‘puppet’ during his term. FVR and Gloria Macapagal are no different story.
