I am sure that by now you have seen the picture of Mr. Bean as one of the characters of the Avatar movie, and had a good laugh. When I saw the amazing Voca People, I started searching their other videos on YouTube. In my search for them, I saw other acapella performances. Some were great, some were good, and some were….
But these guys caught my attention. They performed Bohemian Rhapsody a capella, complete with choreography, showmanship and all the works!
They remind of my local favorite group then, The Tux.

My plan was to bring the house down with witty punch lines and out-of-this-world one-liners… and if that won’t work, to bring you down to tears as I share my inspiring stories of struggles, hurdles and failures, until I saw the proverbial “light at the end of the tunnel.”
But that didn’t happen… a regular Seinfeld I wasn’t and neither was I the charismatic speaker who can flare up an audience with great dynamics in delivering a message. In fact, the exact opposite did happen!
I felt I was speaking in a monotonous voice, mumbling words which I myself couldn’t seem to comprehend, and I couldn’t decide whether I would deliver a punch line or I would stir emotions… of which, I couldn’t even tell the difference. Read the rest of this entry »
I was really bent on not doing any post today… but what the heck, I can always procrastinate later
So here I am making this post, which isn’t really difficult to make because I’ll just be sharing these one-liners which I have gathered in the last few days (I’ve searched for them actually).
Some are amusing, funny… while others would actually make you think… and then laugh afterwards.
I stumbled upon my old copy of Reader’s Digest. I used to subscribe to RD when I was still employed, I think it is the best reading magazine anyone can find. Like they say, ‘if you’re going to subscribe to one magazine in your life, then Reader’s Digest should be it!”
Today, I still believe that. Unfortunately, I’m no longer subscribed (because I’m no longer employed).
Anyway, like I was saying, I found my August 2003 issue of Reader’s Digest. Before I read anything else in RD like featured stories, Life’s like that, and even Laughter… the best medicine, I scan through the pages and look for those short ‘fillers’ after ever article, and this is one of them… and I’d like to share it here… Read the rest of this entry »
