When we see a love one suffering from pain and sickness, it is but natural that we pray for them to be relieved of their sufferings. But there are two ways that this can happen - one is for them to be completely healed, and the other is for them to be in eternal rest.

It is not rare that when one is not possible, the other will be prayed for. Most of the times, especially when are love ones have suffered long enough, we prayed that God give what is best for them.

We leave it all in His hands.

I should know.

That is why I can understand why Beppino Englaro of Italy was fighting to let her daughter die.

When I started the Bloggers Connection, my intention was to instill positivism in the blogosphere. To give a sort of tribute to a fellow blogger who have created a positive image to bloggers and blogging in general.

But right now, there is a bigger cause than giving praise and tribute to a fellow blogger, it is echoing his present situation and how he is need of our help right now.

Angel Cuala’s wife is diagnosed with Dengue and is need of help from us, his blogger friends. This news was spread by Itot as he starts leaving comments on every blog he believes have been connected with Angel, one way or another.

A comment that was picked up by most bloggers and started posting Angel’s situation in their blogs. You can follow all the stories in these blog posts:

Prayer

Dear heavenly Father, we consecrate to you our beloved country- the Philippines and all the Filipinos around the world. We acknowledge Father that apart from You, we can do nothing and it is only your divine providence and grace that can unite all Filipinos as one nation. We therefore humble ourselves before your throne. We confess all our sins to you individually and collectively as a nation. Forgive us our sins Father and wash us clean by the precious blood of Your beloved Son- Jesus Christ. Mend our wicked ways and let us experience a strong and genuine spiritual revival for ourselves and for our country. Let the Holy Spirit imbibe us with power, love and wisdom to return to Your path of holiness and righteousness. Bless our country, heavenly father. Bless all Filipinos wherever they maybe. Let progress, unity, harmony, stability, justice, peace and prosperity reign in our country.

Bless our leaders, from the President down to the lowest Barangay official. Touch their hearts that they may serve our country with all honesty and with love and integrity. Bless our children and our future generation. And bless us all Father in all aspects of our lives. This we pray to You heavenly Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, through the power of the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever. Amen.

If you wish to be included in the master list just e-mail melalarilla@gmail.com or visit Filipinos Unite.

Linkity-link, linkity-link
An SEO-wannabe, hmm… let me think
I’ll drive more traffic, I’ll get more hits
If only I know how to linkity-link

Linkity-link, linkity-link
Cash registers ringing, klankity-klink
I’d love to hear that sound, e’en the faintest ‘pink’
Oh, if only I know how to linkity-link

Modesty aside I have been googled at
And Yahoo searches have found me, just like that
Yet I really don’t know how to play the game
So I still have a poor Page Ranking, oh! what a shame!

Press Secretary Jesus Dureza put President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo on the spot. Arroyo herself was caught by surprise, she covered her face with her hands, and she was so embarassed.

Before the cabinet meeting today, Dureza said the opening prayer where he asked God to “bless the President” and that she may continue “leading the nation until 2010, and perhaps even beyond”

Dureza trying to escape the embarrassment said that even God has a sense of humor, and the usual escape artist that these personality are, he added that he also said “in her personal and private capacity.”

This doesn’t look good…

not good at all.
